A curated collection of the experiences, projects and ideas that shaped the way I understand business, operations and strategy — from a family office in Puerto Plata to early-stage business systems.
A specialty-coffee brand I designed and built, inspired by my great-aunt and her love for coffee. It turns a real family story into identity — name, logo, packaging, voice and purpose — the clearest example of how I take something personal and shape it into a brand with meaning.
An early-stage startup in development — the evolution of everything before it: business experience, creativity, operations, my International Business education and my interest in technology. It connects artificial intelligence, CRM thinking and process automation to help small and mid-sized businesses organize operations and turn ideas into clearer systems.
My most corporate chapter in the United States: retail, distribution and consumer brands — account support, commercial coordination, reporting, product follow-up, promotions and demos, with general exposure to chains such as Key Food, C&S, UNFI, Allegiance/Foodtown and ASG, among others. It confirmed that opportunities can be lost without structure, follow-up or visibility.
At Noches de Colombia I started in the bakery knowing nothing about coffee — and adapted the way I always do: observe, find what could be better, solve it. In 2024 I proposed learning the craft properly, certified as a barista, improved preparation and consistency, and shared the knowledge with my team.
Where I first learned how a business really runs. As a teenager I handled office work, documents and part of the accounting for a shipping agency, then supported a beauty salon and a bar/restaurant — purchasing, cash, marketing, reception, service and daily operations. Managing, I learned, is coordinating people, watching the numbers and deciding fast.
Raised by my mother, who expanded my imagination. As a child I wrote songs, stories and poems; I trained in ballet for five years, sang in voice festivals, and did oratory, acting and modeling. That creative foundation shaped how I organize ideas, communicate with intention and hold presence — for a brand, a process or a plan.
At eighteen I moved to the capital to study International Business at INTEC and graduated Cum Laude — while traveling daily to support my father's businesses. It gave a formal framework to instincts I had built in real businesses since my teens: commerce, markets, structure and a global perspective. (Diploma in Education & Certifications below.)
Small ventures that taught me how to create offers, serve customers and turn ideas into real experiences. During the pandemic I built Crujibox, a food business that gained real traction; a year later, a customized-gifts venture sharpened my sense of presentation, detail and service. Later I chose where my energy was most needed — not abandonment, but maturity.
I am Ambar Gilbert, from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic — a young entrepreneur with a business mind, commercial vision and the ability to understand real problems inside a company. My value is that I can look at a business, detect disorder, missed opportunities, weak processes or a lack of follow-up, and think of smarter ways to organize it and help it grow.
I connect operations, service, documentation, creativity and technology to help teams move with more clarity. My experience has crossed family businesses, customer-facing roles, coffee, commercial coordination, retail distribution and early-stage business systems — but the pattern has always been the same: observe what is happening, identify what is missing and organize ideas into action.

Imagination is an infinite resource available to us. From it, ideas are born; and creativity is the workshop where those ideas take shape. No success in business has ever started without an idea first. Ideas are the center of everything — and they have also been the center of my life.
I was raised between discipline and imagination. From my father I learned punctuality, high standards, responsibility and a large vision — that a business is sustained not only by ideas, but by order, follow-up and the ability to solve. From my mother, who raised me, I learned creativity, sensitivity, courage and persistence: the belief that I could build whatever I could imagine.
My roots in Puerto Plata are not a limitation — they are a base. I come from a culture where you learn to resolve, to move, to observe opportunities and to move forward. In 2022 I lost my father, finished my degree, and began a new stage in the United States — a chapter I tell from transformation, not from suffering.
I do not see operations, customer service, documentation, retail, coffee, branding or technology as separate worlds. I see them as connected parts of the same question: how can an idea become clearer, more organized and more useful to people? My path has not been linear, but it has always been connected.
